I finally mustered up the motivation to separate my actual projects from my fun fun shoots! A couple of friends have been urging me for the past few days, weeks and months to make it "professional" so I'm doing my best to swallow my shyness and actually start advertising myself.  *blushes*

I will still be maintaining this blog as my travel photo blog, but I will be putting up two separate blogs for my Product Photo Projects and my Portrait/Wedding/Engagement/Maternity projects. 

I lost patience and a few hairs trying to put up my Portrait and Lifestyle shoots but CSS, Wordpress and I are not exactly the best of friends these days, so I went back to my first love- Tumblr and published my Product photos first. I'm wallowing in self love these days over the nice, user friendly themes Tumblr offers. <3

Funtastic Medellin

My adventurous college friends descended from the evil clutches of Manila one May weekend and I hopped on a bus to join their escape to the sleepy town of Medellin. They journeyed down south to take the challenge of nearby Gbitingil island: Leap off their jaw dropping 30 ft cliff diving spot and plummet into crystal clear aquamarine depths.  

And since I can't really swim, I just took photos of everything and anything. Hehe.

Binondo

I love this place. The sights, the smells, the vibrant colors, and the language of the streets! It's like being transported to another country.

And contrary to what people might think, I feel pretty safe walking along the bustling streets with my camera. Perhaps the people have been so used to tourists taking photos of every lamppost and Chinese Sign. One time, two street children posed to have their pictures taken and scrambled over to my side to see the photo. One of them tried to touch my LCD screen, but the other gently swatted away his hand. These children may have dirty feet and worn out clothes, but they smile as if they are on streets made of gold. :)

Although we were slightly disappointed that we weren't haunted by the evil spirits or accosted by the witches that supposedly roam the island, we were bewitched by the laid back charm and the pretty sights the island offered. 

We did get  to visit a mananambal though, and the experience was a curious one as we couldn't totally explain the things that we saw in her little nipa hut.
